Riverside is a bondable, qualified state unlimited electrical contractor in and is an active member of the National Electrical Contractors Association. We provide new construction and renovations to commercial, industrial and residential customers. Previous projects include: bank offices, public and private schools, telephone substations, theaters, churches, office buildings, storage warehouses and industrial operations.

Continuing a proud family tradition of bringing power to the southeastern U.S. Eugene M. Irvin, Sr., founded his first company in 1922 in Atlanta, where the company played a key role in converting the city’s streetlights from gas to electric. Irvin, Sr. later moved his family to Miami and began Riverside Electric Company.

James Irvin

James Irvin is co-owner of Riverside Electric Co. He grew up with Riverside following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather and great grandfather. Jim has worked in every aspect of the business from sweeping floors to converting the accounting process from physical books to computer spreadsheets to learning new software for invoicing to collections. He studied and obtained his Florida State unlimited Electrical Contractor’s license which entitled him to own and operate a contracting company. Jim received his Bachelors of Business Administration from Auburn University in 1988 then took over operations for Riverside that same year. Jim now does estimating and supervises projects.

Alexander Rodriguez

Alexander Rodriguez is co-owner of Riverside Electric Co. and By His Grace Construction Services. He has worked as an electrician in all aspects of construction. Alex started as a local 349 apprentice and worked throughout the years to become a journeyman and master electrician. His experience spans the full spectrum from residential additions and pools to retail, commercial and restaurant construction. His knowledge and experience also allows him to work in high demand and strict adherence policy environments such as for Miami-Dade county schools, the FAA, and Turkey Point power facility to name a few.
